~* Having some fun at Palisade Head on the north shore of Lake Superior *~

I'm gazing at my beautiful beloved wife Chrissy right now with a big ol' smile on my face, she is deep in slumbers gardens in what I can only imagine is blissful dreams.  She is a vision, to think she is taking on the amazing and magical blessing that is bringing new life into this world, oh, I love the goddess.

What an awesome responsibility co-creating and then  taking  care of a newborn child is, I look so forward to learning and remembering everything all over again.  To have next to me such a wonderful partner, friend, and teammate all in one incredible person who will share these incredible experiences with me is something to be grateful for indeed.

I am thankful for everything, I love my wife, life, and you too, this whole game we're playing can be a great deal of fun and mighty enjoyable in general if you put your mind to it.

Here's to remembering to breathe deeply and graciously, cheers to being HERE in this moment, presently.  When it comes right down (or should it be up?) to it, we can focus on any aspect of reality we want, make of it what we will, it's our show.

How about ultrasounds by the way?  We have a couple of pictures of a 15 week old human being that is growing inside of my wife, that is something else right there.  Hearing it's heart beat was one thing, but seeing our little baby dancing around on that video monitor was a sight to behold.

A couple of nights ago I read aloud Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree , a classic I remember reading many times before, I thought it would be enjoyable to read it to Chrissy and the baby and it really was.  The ears are just starting to really develop their ability to identify sounds at this point, I believe that through all of its senses and spirit it is absorbing what is taking place in it's general surrounding area (and everywhere for that matter).  That helps keep me mindful of the external experiences that I would like to be around, I like that.

It is getting late and I am getting tired, it is time to rest my eyes, mind, and soul so that I may be honored to life another day full joy, love, and wonder.  Chrissy's sister Kim is stopping in town for a spell tomorrow and I am stoked to have her check out the Twin Cities, she is on her way to Portland, Oregon to try her hand at living on the West Coast of this beautiful continent.

Happy and glad to share this with you,

Mahalo yo,

Joseph

Does it get any funner?

Move over more fun, funner is taking your place.  Or at least it will and has been used proudly by me for as long as I can remember, it is way funner than saying more fun.

The title of this blog is more of a rhetorical question and knowingly absurd statement than anything else.  It is going to get funner, I believe that entirely.

This is an enjoyable experience, just sitting here writing these words, breathing deeply and relaxing to the very best of my ability.  I'm focusing on positively pursuing and embracing the most enriching and satisfying life as possible.  To seek that which is in my highest and do what is best for my growing family.

Man am I stoked to become a father, tomorrow we have another check up, we are 17 weeks in and I am loving the anticipation of it all, to be going through this incredible experience with Chrissy is such a blessing, I'm so very thankful for all of it.

What we choose to place importance on in this life is really something to reflect upon, when I remember to be conscious of my breath and realize all of the wonderful comforts that I have, a roof over my head, food so I never go hungry, family and friends to share this life with, and to have access to vehicles and the means and/or money to fill it with fuel.  I really have some luxuries beyond the basic necessities for survival, blessed indeed.

And to think of the limitless possibilities of what the future will hold, I'm looking forward to it...

Joy and love,

Joseph
